One Punch Man season 2 might very well get released on time, as a source close to situation reported that the dynamic tandem of One and Yusuke Murata have already begun working on the initial requirements of Madman Entertainment to kick start the production of the anime series.
Murata, the man behind the manga version of One's webcomic hit 'One Punch Man,' promised last December to make Season 2 a reality by coming up with 100 sketches, 100 inked pages, and 100 storyboards along with 10 hours of editing works per day to cope up with the requirements being asked by the Studio.
That's a lot of ground to cover for Murata; however, the sporadic release of One Punch Man manga chapters recently could only suggest that he's already working on it. In fact, the last time Murata released a canon chapter of OPM dates back to last week of March (chapter 59.3 titled Dark Horse Part III).
Meanwhile, One's One Punch Man webcomic surprisingly got halted at chapter 106.3 (that's also over a month ago), which is the introduction of the Civil War arc of the series. There are speculations One has been spending bulk of his time as of late with the people currently working on the anime adaptation of another webcomic hit Mob Psycho 100 and Murata in terms of storyboard supervision.
-Despite his busy schedule, Murata somehow released no.21 issue of One Punch Man Young Jump last week. The 35-page OPM special chapter focuses on Saitama's fascination of working with a group of heroes who can emulate the teamwork shown in Sentai Series (Japan's version of Power Rangers).
The special chapter introduces several new Heroes Association characters such as Pink Hornet (B-Class, rank 25), Trap Tengu (B-class, rank 70), Smell Master (B-class, rank 39), and Wild Horn (B-class, rank 6), whose weapon awkwardly resembles the 'Thunderspear' in Attack on Titan.
