The latest details for "Watch Dogs 2" will feature a possible appearance at E3 2016, a new game protagonist and new PC features for the sequel.
It seems that a new hero for "Watch Dogs 2" has been introduced online as motion caption actor posted a photo on Instagram of the sequel's rumored new protagonist. The actor quickly took it off and changed the privacy settings of his Instagram account, however, Twitter username NerdLeaks was able to tweet the photo with numerous hashtags including #WatchDogs2.
According to the motion capture actor, he had fun doing the motion capture sequence on the new protagonist as well as doing the role itself in "Watch Dogs 2". Several gaming fans have suggested to Ubisoft that "Watch Dogs" protagonist Aiden Pearce should be replaced as the lead in th sequel and wanted someone with a unique personality and less experience in combat.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot stated that he does not know if Aiden Pierce will be back in "Watch Dogs 2" and several rumors claim that the sequel could feature three playable characters similar to "Grand Theft Auto 5".
Voice actor Jason Kyle is also doing work in "Watch Dogs 2" playing "multiple characters", Attack of the Fanboy reported.
In other news, "Watch Dogs 2" will likely have new specs for the PC as Twitter username Roy Taylor tweeted an image of "Watch Dogs 2's" featuring DirectX 12 support and highly optimized AMD GPUs for the its PC version. Ubisoft used NVIDIA Gameworks tool set in developing the first "Watch Dogs" game for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as the PC version.
Unfortunately, AMD and NVIDIA partnership did not go so well as AMD's representative Robert Hallock stated that GameWorks represents a clear and present threat to gamers by deliberately crippling performance on their products by 40 percent in the market and it widen the margin in favor of NVIDIA products.
NVIDIA denied any allegations as the company's representative Cem Cebenoyan explained that there is nothing in GameWorks that deliberately harms AMD performance and added that AMD's assertion that using GameWorks means developers cannot accept AMD suggestions.
Lastly, Ubisoft will be appearing at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo announcing a new games and DLCs from their existing titles, Segment Next reported. The company made the decision as part of their third quarter financial report and it detailed their current outlook for the fiscal year and beyond. Some of its line-up of video game titles include "For Honor", "South Park: The Fractured But Whole", "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands and "Watch Dogs 2".
"Watch Dogs 2" is speculated to launch sometime before April 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
