Olympus unveiled the latest flagship in digital camera which spotlights video stabilization, the E-M5 Mark II camera is a major discovery for photography enthusiasts. The camera's movie capture proficiency having a 5-axis image stabilization, a premium mirror-less interchangeable lens that is splashproof, freezeproof, and dustproof, the E-M5 Mark II is ready to replace the OM-D camera in the market, Engadget reported.
The initial product E-M5 which was released in 2012, the camera was described as the world's most sophisticated image stabilization system. The 5axis, used on both E-M1 and E-M5, makes up for the vertical and horizontal shift, the roll movements and the pitch. Olympus claims that their camera can capture sharp images at shutter speeds as low as 1/4-second without the use of a tripod. It also has an improved auto focus capability at 10-frames-per-second burst shooting, and 1,8000th shutter.
The E-M5 is normally taking 16 megapixels photos, but this model has a feature where users can take a high resolution photo as high as 40 megapixels per shot. To be able to get a larger image photo, one has to shift the sensor by 0.5 pixels steps and as it moves the image is captured. Combining all of the images together will result to a 40 megapixels photo, a tripod will be best to use here, according to Digital Trends.
The camera can complete a high bitrate of 77 Mbps when set to 30p. An external microphone can be used and monitor audio via the headphone jack in the optional external grip.
