After reintroducing herself on the July 2015 cover of a leading US magazine, Caitlyn Jenner is seemingly ready to follow the footsteps of her star stepdaughter Kim Kardashian. She will soon appear nude on the summer cover of Sports Illustrated, wearing nothing but American flag and her Olympic medal.
The 66-year-old, who was earlier known as Bruce Jenner, will shed her covers to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her glorious win, when she set a world record in decathlon at Montreal Summer Games in 1976. This will be the first time that she will be posing along with the medal, post her gender transition.
"She's excited about that," an inside source told Us Weekly.
As Bruce, Jenner had popularly appeared on Wheaties cereal boxes and several other commercials, decades before joining reality TV show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" and later, coming out as a transgender woman. Earlier, her ex-wife Kris Jenner had appeared topless with the medal during a 2007 photo shoot for "KUWTK."
Caitlyn had claimed earlier in her blog that she does not often display the medal so as not to put pressure on her kids. She has kept the same at the bottom of her makeup drawer. Now that all of her children, Kylie, 18, Kendall, 20, Brody, 32, Brandon, 34, Casey, 35, and Burt, 37, have grown up and moved out of the house, she said it might be time to hang the medal up.
"I never wanted my kids to feel like they had to have a gold medal in order to be considered a success," the former Olympian wrote in an August 2015 blog post.
Earlier, Caitlyn was spotted while on a juice run in her new purple Porsche 911 in Los Angeles on May 3, Tuesday. The sports star-turned-TV personality looked effortlessly chic in a striped white polo shirt, blue mini skirt and trainers, Daily Mail reported.
Meanwhile, "KUWTK" Season 12 continues on E!. The trailer of the upcoming episode is out which showed Kim having a heart-to-heart talk with Caitlyn about the latter's feud with Khloe Kardashian. Watch the trailer below:
