"The Vampire Diaries" (TVD) Season 7 episode 22 airs May 13. The highly-anticipated segment is titled "Gods and Monsters" and it happens to be the finale wherein Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) makes an ultimate sacrifice for her friend, Bonnie (Kat Graham). Fans must brace themselves for an action-packed finale wherein the Mystic Falls vampires come together to save Bonnie. The CW has released a synopsis for "The Vampire Diaries" (TVD) Season 7 episode 22. According to the spoilers and plot details (via Spoilers Guide), Bonnie's situation continues to worsen. She will face "harrowing predicament." Despite their best efforts, her loved ones fail to protect her.
In the finale, Damon, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) and Caroline (Candice King) realise that not only the time is running out but so are their options. They find themselves in a dire situation, where they are forced to take some hard decisions and desperate measures.
The only way they can save Bonnie is to get inside the Armoury. To implement their plan, they need help from an unlikely source. They need Alaric's twin daughters to help them in their endeavour. However, Alaric and Caroline may not be pleased with Stefan's (Paul Wesley) new idea that involves great risks and put the lives of children in peril.
Meanwhile, Enzo brings Bonnie back the cabin where he tries to divert her mind. In episode 20, Rayna's last life and her vampire huntress' instincts were transferred to Bonnie.
Unfortunately, Enzo's plan takes an unexpected turn which forces Damon to make an "ultimate sacrifice" for his friends. Will Damon come out of it alive?
