Song Joong Ki recently revealed that he is open to dating someone who is older than him. He made the remark on his dating choices when he was interviewed in the recent Asian fan meeting tour in Thailand.
The 30-year-old star visited Bangkok, Thailand on May 7, Saturday, for the second leg of his Asian tour. According to his agency, Blossom Entertainment, around 4,000 local fans attended the said event, which took place in the Thunder Dome Stadium.
"When Song landed in Thailand, the local media said his fans literally jammed the airport," Yonhap News Agency quoted the representative from Blossom Entertainment as saying to a group of local reporters. "They called him the most beloved Korean star in (Thai) history."
The Hallyu star entertained his Thai fans with an assortment of recreational games and events that went on for about three hours. Further, Song participated in a Q&A segment, wherein he admitted that he is open to dating someone older than him and that he is willing to wait for a woman he is in love with.
"If she is the woman that I'm truly in love with then I will always be waiting," Song replied earnestly, when asked by his Thai fans if he would still pursue a relationship with a woman he loves even if he would be turned down countless times - the same way like what Kang Mo Yeon did in "Descendants of the Sun."
The actor went ahead to admit that he is not romantic as his character in the blockbuster drama and stressed that he cannot win over Captain Yoo Si Jin, whom he portrayed as "super romantic." Nonetheless, Song previously said that he had taken in a great deal of romance style from his character, particularly those things that women want to hear, The Korea Herald reported.
The actor was also asked about doing love scenes with co-star Song Hye Kyo. He responded by revealing that he found it less demanding to film love scenes than action scenes because of the actress and stressed that he do not have a hard time doing it with her.
The duo displayed impeccable chemistry and romance in the show, driving fans' speculate that the so-called "Song-Song" couple have already taken their on-screen relationship off-cam. Both actors were keen to deny the reports, putting an end to all dating rumors swirling them.
