If reports are anything to go by, Lenovo will launch the Moto G 4th-gen at a forthcoming event on May 17.
The new Moto G (4th gen) smartphone will have improved security features, improved battery and a better camera. The Moto G4 is expected to sport a fingerprint scanner that is missing in the third generation Moto G.
It is said that the forthcoming Motorola device will come packed with greater capacity battery unit as compared to the third generation Moto G. The Moto G (third generation) packs a 2470mAh battery.
The third generation Moto G features 2GB/16GB and 1GB/8GB memory-storage configurations. The Moto G (4th gen) will have 3GB of RAM, The Verge reported.
Furthermore, the third generation Moto G have a 13-megapixel main camera, according to a Digital Trends report. Several reports suggest that the upcoming Motorola device will have a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus.
It is expected that the Moto G4 will feature 5.5-inch screen. Other specifications of the device include color options of white and black and 16GB of internal memory. Also, according to some reports, the forthcoming handset will sport a Snapdragon 430 chipset.
Meanwhile, according to reports, Moto X 2016 will be launched on June 9, 2016. The Moto X 2016 will come in two variants - Vertex and Vector. The Vertex will be a mainstream, regular phone and the Vector will be premium phone.
It is likely that the Moto X 2016 will be pricier compared to the previous Moto X phones. Reports suggest that the Vector will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset running at 2GHz. On the other hand, the Vertex is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 625 chipset.
The Vector is rumored to have a 13 MP camera with optical image stabilization. On the other hand, the Vertex will sport a 16 MP camera but without the optical image stabilization. It is likely that both smartphones will have phase-detect focus and laser-assisted focus.
According to reports, the Vector will have 32GB internal storage and the Vertex will have 16GB internal storage. Both devices will have a fingerprint scanner and 5.5-inch screens.
