The new HTC 10 smartphone, which was announced back in early April, will soon be available for United States carriers like Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile. These carriers already confirmed that they were going to offer HTC 10, with Verizon itself initiating its preorder program as early as April.
According to Gotta Be Mobile, the HTC's best smartphone went up for pre-order on the same day as HTC.com for some carriers and is currently shipping. The company kicked off its announcement by disclosing more on the device's design.
HTC pointed out that the newly redesigned unibody made of the aluminum shell was perfected through polls and customer feedback. Some HTC fans reportedly love the look on the back of the phone due to the big chamfered edges.
As reports reveal, the tech giant did not reveal the exact release date of its new smartphone, although various reports have surfaced to give potential buyers some clues. As initially communicated by Verizon, the carrier started preorders for HTC 10 on April 29 and planned to release the phone by May.
Luckily for fans, the carrier has reported that the smartphone is now available both online and in-store as of May 5. For those who pre-ordered the unlocked HTC version from HTC.com so as to use it for AT&T, the pre-orders are due to arrive any time. Pre-orders from the company's online stores reportedly started shipping on May 4.
According to Sprint's news website, Sprint announced that HTC 10 will be available for $629 or $26 per month, starting on May 13. It also confirmed that the device would launch on Sprint LTE Plus Network on the same day.
As for T-Mobile, the carrier has announced that it will offer HTC 10 beginning May 18. Besides this, users will get a free Ice View case and a spare USB Type-C charger, which has an estimated value of $89. Buyers will have to pay $679.99 at a go or go with an installment plan of $28.34 per month.
As expected and communicated before, HTC 10 packs high-end specs across the board, and is somewhat similar to Samsung's Galaxy S7.
