For Chinese fans of “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki who cannot afford the $1,200 front row seat at the taping of “Happy Camp” this week, fret no more.
Hunan TV, producer of the hit variety show where the 30-year-old actor guested, just released photos of Song Joong-ki’s guesting stint. The producer released on Friday the stills showing the actor wearing white shirt and black pants. The show was recorded on May 11.
Soompi reported that the popular Hallyu star, now in China for an eight-city China leg of his Asian fan meet tour, showed off his gentle looks while greeting the fans – some of whom paid hundreds of dollars to enter the studio with tickets purchased from scalpers. He greeted them back with a bright smile.
He later changed to a blue jumpsuit, similar to the attire worn by “Happy Camp” hosts, and gamely and sincerely answered all the questions thrown to him. With his effort to please fans, it is not surprising that Song Joong-ki is now the most popular actor in China and South Korea.
However, there are instances when matters are beyond his control such as when he arrived at the Changsa Airport on Wednesday for the taping of “Happy Camp” but security led him to leave the gateway through the VIP Exit. Fans were disappointed and the actor too, unlike in Thailand where he was able to greet the hundreds of fans at the Bangkok airport.
Overpriced tickets sold by scalpers are a problem too that Blossom Entertainment could not solve, although that is true in other concerts and events with celebrities in different parts of the world so long as there are enterprising individuals wanting to earn extra money at the expenses of fans.
