"The Flash" Season 2 finale airs May 24, Tuesday. Episode 23 is titled "The Race of His Life" and it will see Barry Allen put in all his efforts to take down Zoom. Here are detailed spoilers and a promo for the final chapter of The CW series' second season. Read on to find out what happens next.

In episode 22 (yet to be aired), with the help of meta-humans from Earth-2, Zoom opens an attack on Central City. The army is led by Black Canary's Earth-2 doppelganger, Black Siren. Wally and Barry get on the streets to save the city and stop Zoom.
Moving on to "The Flash" Season 2 episode 23 "The Race of His Life." According to Spoilersguide.com description for the finale, Zoom comes out in open and reveals his true plan. Finally, he reveals the purpose of his visit and the reason behind the destruction he is causing. While the details about Zoom's true intentions remain unknown for now, it is certain that Barry is not very happy with his plans.
Barry vows to take down Zoom. He decides to put everything on the line to defeat Zoom. Fans can expect to see the ultimate face-off between Barry and Zoom before the "The Flash" Season 2 comes to a close.
Note: A promo video for "The Flash" Season 2 episode 23 "Race of His Life" is yet to be released. It is expected to be out after the broadcast of the penultimate episode, "The Invincible." Stay tuned, it will be made available as soon as it is unveiled
In the meantime, director Kevin Smith shared details from the final two episodes of Season 2 on Fat Man on Batman podcast. The podcast also features "The Flash" actor Teddy Sears, who plays the role of Zoom.
"They got [me] the breakdown of what the last two episodes are, and there was something that happened in the episode after mine [after episode 21] - and it includes you [Teddy Sears] in a big, bad way, and I was like Arghhh [screams]. I wished that I was directing it because it is mad genius!" Smith said as quoted by International Business Times.
While he refrained from sharing plot details, Smith teased an "absolute shocking" finale to "The Flash" Season 2. According to him, the show "ends big."
Fans must prepare themselves for a "good guy vs bad guy" showdown.
"Obviously Zoom is going to face off with Barry Allen... they are going to have a thing... which they have to do, they have to sort of meet in the final... draw sprint off," Sears added.
