The first Latina supermodel who appeared in a number of high-profile fashion campaigns for Victoria's Secret, Ralph Lauren and Chanel in the 1990s has come out as a lesbian.
In her new book titled "Straight Walk," which will hit stores on Feb. 10, Patricia Velasquez, 43, says she was moved to be honest when she talked to her daughter Maya, 8, about her sexuality.
Velasquez told Yahoo! Parenting, "It's very difficult to face your past, so I put off doing anything like this for a long time."
In 2012, Velasquez joined Donald Trump's reality show "Celebrity Apprentice."
Currently, there are several young Latinas are making a name on the small and big screens. Among them are "Ouija" stars Bianca Santos and Ana Cotos.
In 2014, Santos she shared that something funny happened during the filming of "Ouija." She said there were times when director Stiles White and producers would take blow horns to get authentic scares from the actors.
In real life, Santos has never used a Ouija board because she always got a warning from her superstitious mother to never play with it and she said she was pretty obedient.
On the other hand, Coto admitted she has tried playing Ouija board in real life.
"I mean really the first few times I played, nothing happened," Coto said in a recent interview with Latina.
According to Coto, the scariest scenes to shoot in "Ouija" have been all the Ouija games with the actual games filmed three days in a row in a creepy house was built in the 19th century.
