Emma is one of the best characters in the WWE women's division at the moment. However, she suffered a ruptured disc on her back and is out for an indefinite amount of time.
According to the official website of the WWE, Emma suffered the injury at a WWE Live Event last week. She underwent an MRI to reveal the severity of the injury and surgery was performed on Wednesday, May 18 to repair the ruptured disc.
The time of recovery cannot be determined but she is already in high spirits as she took to Twitter to thank all of her fans who supported her. The Australian wrestler was just gaining momentum following her second stint on the main roster.
Thank you all so much again for the support and keeping me in your thoughts! Surgery went well today! Just resting up now!

The 27-year-old started her career on the independent circuit in 2007. She was signed by the WWE in 2011 and spent three years at the company's developmental system. She made her main roster debut in 2014 as a babyface valet for Santino Marella.
However, her character was a complete bust as she did not get the right reaction from the crowd. She was sent back to NXT in 2015 to improve her skills and character.
Emma was called up again on March as a heel, aligning herself with Team B.A.D. and Blonde in a program against Team Total Divas for WrestleMania 32. Nonetheless, they were defeated at the event but Emma proceeded to have a feud with Becky Lynch.
The injury to Emma came at a bad time because many top WWE officials were very impressed with her new character, Sportskeeda reported. She has shown her hard work and the ability to come back from a very difficult situation.
The Melbourne native was released by the WWE in 2014 after she was caught shoplifting in Hartford, Connecticut. However, she got re-hired hours after being released because her lawyer provided a good explanation.
Nonetheless, Emma was ordered by a Connecticut court to do community service and an online course in order for the felony charges to be dropped. She was also demoted to the developmental but showed great work ethic, as well as good character development.
Those same top WWE brass are reportedly pushing to give Emma a women's title run until her injury happened. Expect her to give the same hard work in her recovery and she will return better than ever.
