R&B star Usher delivered his rendition of Stevie Wonder's "If It's Magic" at the 2015 Grammys on Feb. 8, Sunday.
Nominated for the best R&B performance for the song "Good Kisser," Usher left the audience in awe by his soulful and rather stunning performance of Wonder's hit. It was kind of an odd choice of song since there are a number of bigger hits from Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life" album; nevertheless, Usher killed it.
The only accompaniment on stage that he had was the female harp player which highlighted his vocals. With the spotlight following him onstage as the song was building up, the atmosphere becomes magical and moving.
But the best part, according to Hollywood Life, was when Wonder came and joined him on stage. The legend played the harmonica as Usher continues to hit the notes of the song. Wonder's appearance drove the audience wild-which in return earned him a standing ovation.
To everyone who has seen the performance, it was an amazing surprise. It was an astounding performance and people say that these icons are perfect for Grammys collaboration.
After this stunning performance he just exhibited, Usher will be paying another tribute to Wonder at an all-star concert series on Feb. 10, Tuesday.
Along with Ed Sheeran, Janelle Monae, Chris Martin, Willi Nelson, The Band Perry, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, and John Legend, Usher will be taping in Los Angeles on Feb. 10, Tuesday night. This will be aired on Feb. 16 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
