"World of Warcraft: Legion" will have a better, balanced, and accessible player versus player combat for the players. It will have adjustments to the stats of gears that the characters will wear, and how it will affect the PvP combat.
The latest expansion to the popular massive multiplayer online role playing game will have big changes to the multiplayer formula, especially in the PvP combat area. According to the official website of the game, the new expansion will make PvP combat better, balanced, rewarding, and accessible for players.
Adjusting the stats of the gear that players use in PvP combat was one of the biggest challenges that the game company was working on. According to Attack of the Fanboy, the goal of the new expansion is to give players better rewards on focusing on PvP battles. They can get really strong by acquiring gear from quest rewards, and boss fights, which changes the way they play through the game because they are too overpowered.
Raid bosses do not mind players that are overpowered with the strongest gear, but human opponents will think otherwise, and they get frustrated. The game company is making ways of allowing their characters to become stronger through PvP combat, but at the same time making the other players feel like they can also compete with them.
To balance out the stats of the overpowered gear and make it useable for PvP combat, Blizzard did a lot of tests first. They attempted many tests and suggested many solutions, but most were rejected because it was unbalanced and unfair for players to use. With the latest result, they used a better algorithm, which lets players have an even base stat and then improve a bit of it with their characters' average gear level.
The system currently has been adjusted by the game company to balance out the stats of their players. If they have items that are level 800, their characters will have an increased stat of 0.1 percent. If they have items that are on level 900, then they have stats 10 percent higher than those who have level 800 items.
