Five straight Italian Serie A champions Juventus FC recently rejected a €90 million bid by back-to-back La Liga winners FC Barcelona for their young striker Paulo Dybala as the team is said to be not ready to sell anyone in their current roster.
Caught Offside reported that the Turin residents have turned down a huge €90 million offer by the Catalonia giants for the 22-year-old Argentine forward, saying that Juve has "no intention of selling" anyone this summer and that Dybala does not want to leave Turin as well.
Dybala was acquired by the Old Lady last summer from fellow Italian top flight club Palermo for €32 million and had been a key player for head coach Massimiliano Allegri in the recently concluded term.
The 5-foot-10 Córdoba, Argentina native netted 19 times in 34 appearances in the Italian first division domestic league and scored 23 goals in a total of 46 games in all competitions for Juve as well this season.
After Allegri's squad recently claimed the Coppa Italia title, Le Zebre is expected to keep their lineup intact to defend their championships next season. The team is also anticipated to challenge for the Champions League trophy in the next term as they want to expand their successes beyond the domestic leagues.
Meanwhile, Football Italia noted that apart from Barça, Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, La Liga powerhouse Real Madrid, Ligue 1 titlists Paris Saint-Germain, and English Premier League squads Manchester United and Manchester City are also all interested in snatching Dybala in the summer transfer window.
With such high demand for Dybala, it really takes a lot of resolve from Juve to maintain their "no selling" stand as they can definitely utilize the profit they are set to make from the Argentinian's sale to acquire one or two more key players.
The report mentioned that Dybala also "wants to stay at the club" and finish his five-year contract set to expire in 2020 before he makes any decisions about playing elsewhere.
Dybala had played three seasons with Palermo from 2012 to 2015 before moving to Turin. He scored 21 goals in 93 games in all competitions for the Rosanero during the said time period.
