According to new reports, iPad Mini 5 and iPad Air 3 will be launched in September.
Rumors are doing the rounds that the iPad Air 3 may be the last Air series as the tech company Apple may never make another iPad Air. Reports suggest that the Cupertino-based giant may concentrate on strengthening the iPad Pro line.
There are speculations that the upcoming iPad Air 3 will be 6.1mm thick, allowing 4 speakers and powerful sounds. The device will run on iOS 10 and will house A10 processor. In addition, the iPad Air 3 may have a 3D touchscreen.
Speculations are doing the rounds that the iPad Mini 5 will be thinner than its predecessor. Also, the device will have the 3D-touch technology and will come pre-installed with iOS 10. The iPad Mini 5 is expected to feature the Apple Pencil.
The new tablet is expected to come with an upgraded chassis made from a 7000-series aluminum. Apple has not disclosed any information about the iPad Mini 5 and iPad Air 3.
Meanwhile, according to a Verge report, the software firm will open up the Siri API to developers in the coming future and will build its own Amazon Echo rival.
The company's hardware variant will be equipped with a microphone and a speaker that individuals can use to set a timer, get news headlines or turn on music.
Reports suggest that releasing and making a Siri software development kit (SDK) will happen first and an Amazon Echo rival is a long term project.
The Siri SDK may arrive as early as June during the company's annual WWDC conference. A few third-party companies have gained access to the personal assistant. These companies have only done so by way of deals with the Cupertino company.
A software development kit will allow any developer to use the company's voice assistant. The Siri speaker has been in the development for a long time.
