Again touted as the flagship killer phone to watch for this 2016, China's OnePlus 3 on release date is reportedly packed with impressive specs that render the iPhone 7 and Google Nexus 2016 relatively inferior. A new leak suggests of 64GB storage space for the basic model of the upcoming Android-based handset.
BGR reported that for the 2016 refresh, the OnePlus 3 will land in two variants and the basic edition will boast of whopping 64GB internal memory on top of the mighty Snapdragon 820 processing chip that will be supported by 4GB of RAM. The report pointed to popular gadget news leaker Evan Blass, also known as @evleaks, as source.
And the jaw-dropping specs list goes on, which indicates OnePlus' intention to topple both the iPhone and Google 2016 flagships, as Blass claimed that the OnePlus will unbox with a 5.5-inch jumbo screen that renders in 1080p display resolution.
The OnePlus 3 shooting prowess is also something to look forward to as the Blass leak paints of a powerful camera system that will be headlined by a 16-megapixel sensor. But the most intriguing element of the package is the likelihood of the device hitting the market with Android N as shown in the Twitter post below:

But OnePlus, as usual the case, will run on layered Android, specifically with the latest OxygenOS version.
Of note too is the claim by Blass that the specs he posted are only for the cheaper OnePlus 4 model, indicating that the more high-end build will have increased storage space and RAM provision, perhaps going as high as 128GB and 6GB RAM. The Blass leak, however, did not specify on the stepped up OnePlus 3 feature offerings.
Another notable component of the OnePlus 6 2016 rollout is the supposed plan to introduce the device employing virtual reality or VR effects, which essentially will repeat the launch mode used in 2015, Phone Arena reported.
The same report added that things are looking good for a June 14 public intro for the OnePlus 3, which likely will be followed shortly by the actual release date. And rumors persist that availability of the premium flagship killer is no longer by invitation with the starting price ranging between $300 and $400.
