Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S8 and the Edge variant at the Computex 2016 event while the Galaxy X phone recently had the foldable screen tech revealed by the company.
The South Korean tech giant just recently rolled out their Galaxy S7 flagship phone several months back but fans are already waiting for the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Edge. Another interesting phone dubbed as the Galaxy X is also in the crosshairs as it would feature the first foldable display screen in mobile devices.
There have been no official announcements yet by Samsung but there are plenty of reports that all point to almost the same expected specs. For instance, the recent reveal of the 6GB LPDDR4 RAM led to speculations that the new phones from the company would feature the new faster and larger memory module.
Samsung is also expected to feature a 4K AMOLED screen on the Galaxy S8 or the Galaxy S8 Edge, 4K reported. The company has been known for their UHD Smart TVs and it could be plausible that the they would also be able to downsize the tech onto their new phones for 2017.
Even if the speculations turn out to be a bust, it could be guaranteed that the phone will at least have a 2K resolution screen based on their other devices. The Galaxy Note 6 could be the one to sport the 4K screen because of its 5.9-inch display size.
Samsung has also recently unveiled their new foldable and rolalble 5.7-inch AMOLED display which is rumored to be used in the upcoming Galaxy X smartphone, Fudzilla has learned. It will have a display resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels which is already impressive considering that it would be the first screen on a mobile phone that can be folded.
Of course, there are still speculations that other new phones will also feature the foldable screen. The Galaxy Note 6 Edge, however, is the least likely candidate.
The Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Edge and the Galaxy X with the foldable screen are expected to be unveiled at the upcoming Computex 2016 conference. All of the rumors and speculations could be addressed soon.
