"Grimm" Season 6 updates and details
A new episode of "Grimm" is not airing on May 27 as the last season (Season 5) concluded with a double episode finale titled "Beginning of the End: Part One" and "Beginning of the End: Part Two."
"Grimm" will return with Season 6 and pick things up from Season 5 finale.
David Giuntoli who portrays Nick talked to Entertainment Weekly about the finale and "Grimm" Season 6.
When asked if viewers will see Black Claw in the upcoming season, the actor said that the group is done for now. Black Claw is not coming after Nick again. Giuntoli added that the season will Nick vs. Renard.
Meanwhile, TVLine talked to Giuntoli and the show's creators and executive producers James Kouf and David Greenwalt about the new season.
Kouf and Greenwalt revealed that "Grimm" Season 6 will continue from where Season 5 ended as there are many unanswered questions.
They also answered if the continued to shoot the scenes after the cliffhanger. "We have not shot the next part of the cliffhanger... We also didn't quite know how it was going to end. We shot alternate endings. There was a take where Renard still had the sword in his hand, there was a take where he throws it down... There's a kiss. We shot that - in Sasha's dreams! [Laughs]," Giuntoli said.
The actor said that "Grimm" Season 5 finale episode "respects the audience." "It could have been a cliffhanger with me being shot on the ground and then, ooh!, I come to. The stick was in my pocket! We've done that before. There's only so many ways this can go with the captain and Nick," Giuntoli revealed.
He added that Nick got to play the "big old hero again." It would be interesting to see what happens when "Grimm" returns with Season 6.
