Stars of "Game of Thrones" revealed that there were some deleted scenes of Tormund Giantsbane and Lady Brienne of Tarth in the last episode titled "The Door." GOT Fans have surely seen that moment when Tormund glanced and smiled towards Brienne but the lady warrior just rolled her eyes. It was a match-up that fans never expected in the show.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Gwendoline Christie shared one deleted scene of Tormund-Brienne where Sansa was shown teasing Brienne about Tormund's crush. Christie said, "and you had the powerful warrior who's totally flustered."
Tormund's actor Kristofer Hivju is such a hilarious person according to Christie and she said, "I don't think I've been in a scene on "Game of Thrones" when it's been everything I can do to stop myself from laughing. The way he was behaving toward me was just extraordinary." Christie enjoys playing Brienne's role especially those moments where she has to act like in a very awkward situation.
In other related news, during a phone interview with ScreenCrush, Hivju praised Christie being a great actress and he added that she is a one walking laughing machine. When Hivju was asked about the deleted scenes, he seemed to be tight-lipped and just answered that fans should wait for the extra material when it comes out.
During the phone interview, Hivju talked about Tormund's children. Remembering season 5, it was confirmed that he has kids in the episode titled "Hardhome" when Tormund said to Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) that he is prettier than his kids. Hivju did not know if Tormund will ever have a chance to meet with his kids in the upcoming episodes. The wildling actor said that it's not yet defined.
In the soon to be aired episodes of season 6, Hivju said that there is always something more to see for the fans since there is no original source ("The Winds of Winter") released yet. This simply means that there are no spoilers about what's going to happen in the rest of the season. One hint he dropped though was about the wildling leader, Tormund, who will suddenly be involved in the political side of the story.
Here is a short clip of Tormund-Brienne.
