The "Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke recently expressed her wish to become the next female Bond in the upcoming film by the franchisee, MGM Studio. The actress revealed the details of her ideal Bond boy that she would like to work with.
"I have a lot of unrealised dreams," Clarke said in an interview with the Daily Star Sunday. "I would love to play Jane Bond. My ultimate leading man would be Leonardo DiCaprio. No doubt about it."
The "Terminator Genisys" star may be in direct competition with the "The X-Files" actress Gillian Anderson for the upcoming role. Although there have been rumors about other actresses being considered for the role as well, the speculations about Anderson seem more popular, especially after the actress herself responded to the #NextBond votes.
The questions concerning who will be the next bond started to rise after Daniel Craig turned down the franchisee's huge offer to return back as the iconic character, James Bond. Craig was not interested in playing Bond's character again irrespective of what the franchisee for ready to pay for it, a source close to Craig revealed to Daily Mail.
However, it is not the first time that Craig has revealed his disinterest in doing the Bond films in the future. He has been heard saying several times in the past that he would rather slash his wrists than to play the same iconic character again. In fact, the actor has already signed several projects since the release of his last Bond movie, "Spectre."
"He had told people after shooting that this would be his final outing," the source told the publication. "But the film company still felt he could come around after Spectre if he was offered a money deal."
Since then, the internet has gone crazy about who will be the next Bond. While some people are expecting some gender reversal to take place this time around, other are expecting Tom Hiddleson to play the role of the next Bond.
