“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2” may have premiered almost four years ago but fans of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are still always looking forward to hearing any news about the former couple. Luckily, Ashley Greene, who played Alice Cullen in the hit movie adaptation, gave shippers something to tide them over until a reunion movie—if there will be any.
In an interview with E! News, Greene said that everyone in the "Twilight" cast knew about the brewing romance between Pattinson and Stewart way before the two went public with their relationship. Greene recalled that the former couple did not act lovey dovey on set but they just knew that something was up.
"I think they were keeping it professional," Greene said.
While many "Twilight" fans are still rooting for Pattinson and Stewart to get back together, the two seemed to have moved on with their significant others. Pattinson is engaged with FKA Twigs, while the "Equals" star is back with her former assistant Alicia Cargile after her brief relationship with SoKo.
According to Huffington Post, Stewart and Cargile were spotted holding hands a couple of weeks ago as they exited LAX. The actress also brought Cargile as her date at the red carpet premiere of "American Honey" at the Cannes film festival. Although Stewart is not one to shy from public displays of affection, she still refuses to put a label on their relationship.
Stewart, however, thanked her fans, and society in general, for being accepting. Growing up, she used to feel that she had this responsibility to define herself because she did not want to seem fearful. The actress then eventually realized that she did not owe anyone any explanation. She added that she will continue to live her life the way she wanted and had no intentions of hiding who she is anymore.
"I was like, 'F*ck, how do I define that?' I'm not going to. Plus, I didn't want to f*ck with other people... As soon as you start throwing up so many walls, you cannot see over them yourself, so you just start isolating in a way that's not honest. I definitely found where I'm comfortable," she explained.
