Jessica Simpson may be worth millions, but this does not mean she is spending left and right. A new report says the singer and actress is one frugal artist and is not averse to using coupons for fear that she would go broke.
Even though she earned big from her acting and music career on top of her successful shoe and clothing empire, Simpson has fears of being bankrupt, according to OK magazine. As such, she is an extremely frugal person, and uses coupons whenever she can.
"The money that Jess has made from her fashion lines has her set for life financially, but she still has a crazy fear of going broke," a source shared to the magazine adding that Simpson even had her husband Eric Johnson as well as their nannies pour through pages of coupons weekly to see which ones they could use.
Apart from using coupons, Simpson also saves money being thrifty with her own friends. She does not buy lavish gifts for her friends' birthdays or during the holidays anymore and instead gift them something from her own collection.
Meanwhile, Simpson's own father Joe does not have the frugal bug. According to Daily Mail, her father just splurged on a bachelor pad. Despite being single, her father went ahead and purchased a new four bedroom Malibu pad worth almost $4 million. The huge 5,340 square foot home is located at the Las Flores Mesa Drive, very near the Pacific Coast Highway.
