New "Overwatch" details will feature cross platform gameplay for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, game balances and livestream gameplays on Facebook.
Blizzard Entertainment teased the possibility of "Overwatch" having a cross platform gameplay for the PS4 and Xbox One as the game's official Twitter page tweeted that they will be "keeping on eye" out on the possibility soon. It is highly noted that the cross playform gameplay plans are directly hinted in the console as one fan from Twitter asked if the PC version will be included in the feature.
Sadly, the "Overwatch" Twitter page tweeted the answers stating that adding the PC version to the cross platform gameplay with the PS4 and Xbox One consoles will cause some balance and competitive issues within the game.
Blizzard stated before that the subject of having cross-gameplay with all three game platforms are rather luke-warm due to the strong advantage of the PC in regards to the console versions. Game director Jeffrey Kaplan explained in an interview that cross-gameplay within the three game platforms is a "no-go" for them, citing that it will be unfair for console gamers due to the type of game "Overwatch" is, which is a shooter game. The mouse and keyboard gives a much higher precision with the return rate being much higher, thus giving console users an unfair advantage gamers when playing.
However, since Blizzard is still open-minded about the possibility of cross platform gameplay in "Overwatch". Gamers around the world are looking forward for more announcements from them soon.
In other news, Blizzard is also planning some having to balance patches for "Overwatch" in the console and PC versions seperately, Gamerant reported. These includes nerfing out several characters in the game such as McCree and D.Va.
Overwatch has received a good reception from the gaming community and has obtain over seven million players from across any game platform.
Aside from the game balances, Blizzard announced that they will working with Facebook to have a livestream gameplay videos for "Overwatch".
Gamers can now use Facebook to log in Blizzard owned games aside from "Overwatch" such as "Hearthstone", "Diablo 3", "StarCraft 2", "Wordl of Warcraft" and "Heroes of the Storm", Polygon reported.
In addition, Blizzard is looking to use the Facebook Live API to add even more social functionality to its games. Gamers are also looking forward to the new "Competitive" mode launch in "Overwatch" sometime this month.
"Overwatch" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
