Frank West may be making a comeback in the upcoming Dead Rising 4 as an alleged poster for the zombie killer game has surfaced, which could mean that it will be confirmed at E3 2016.
Capcom is silent about the reports for the new game but they could still make an appearance at the E3 2016 event with more games to launch this year. The Dead Rising 4 could be one of those games and the leak can be a viral marketing campaign set to generate hype.
The franchise rose to popularity initially as a console exclusive but later made its way to PC players in its sequels. Dead Rising 3 sold well and a sequel was immediately talked about after its release.
Rumors of the development have been going around for quite some time now. However, there have been no real confirmations about the game's existence until now.
There have been several screenshots and posters of Dead Rising 4 leaked for the public to see, ThisGenGaming has learned. One screenshot shows Frank West walking around in a snowy part of town with the hills behind him.
The quality of the graphics is not well adjusted in the said screenshot considering that it looks like it was captured by a camera and not an actual software program. In addition, it could also be from an early development phase of the game.
Dead Rising 4 could be set in Colorado again same as the first title, Kotaku reported. It is not clear whether the game will be a reboot or a remake of Dead Rising 1.
There is still a higher probability of it being a sequel and the story will pick up from where Frank West left off. More customization options in terms of the clothes and weapons are also expected to be added in the new sequel.
Capcom has already been confirmed to be presenting Dead Rising 4 at E3 2016. They will also be unveiling State of Decay 2 and possibly other Xbox One exclusives at the event. The international release dates and platforms of the games can also be revealed during their presentations.
