Following an excellent run last week, Naruto Shippuden episode 464 will divert a bit from the main story line this week to shed some light on the past events that shaped the ninja world as it is today and ignited the flame of wars.
Hagoromo, the Sage of the Six Paths, appeared before the four Hokages of the leaf village to inform that about the ongoing battle Naruto and Sasuke are currently in. He told them that Madara was just a mere instrument of his mother, who has been planning for her resurrection by the help her of will, Black Zetsu.
There, Hagoromo went on to narrate the past, particularly the beginning of the ninshu, which is the religion he wanted to past on for more generations to come only to be misinterpreted by his predecessors.
Wrong interpretation of the religion of peace then gave birth to ninjitsu, a weaponized form of the Sage's teaching.
What to expect in Episode 465: Ashura and Indra.
-Hagoromo will partake to Hokage's the true meaning of ninshu. He will narrate what actually happened in the past and the reason why he picked Ashura over Indra as his successor.
-Speaking of Ashura and Indra, it looks like the legendary shinobis, the progenitors of the Senju and Uchiha clans respectively will finally be making their debut in the anime series. They have been mentioned countless of times already, but Hagoromo's sons haven't seen action.
-We will learn more about Hagoromo and his philosophy of having a peaceful world free from chaos and war, passing this to his son, Ashura.

Naruto Shippuden episode 464 will be aired on TV Tokyo on Thursday at 6:30 a.m US Time. It will be streamed online 30 minutes after its Japanese release on Crunchy Roll.
