The latest earphones made by Samsung does not only boast the wireless technology but also some few additional features that amazed the future end users. The Samsung Gear IconX is not just a wireless earphone that can play music but it can also store data up to 4GB. What's more amazing is it has a health fitness tracker feature built in.
Not to mention the battery and the Bluetooth device that needs to be installed inside, this small earpiece can store music files so that you can play music even without your cellphone. This also has a capacitive touch sensor which is a tap and swipe feature for the user to answer calls and change tracks or volume. The Gear IconX will work with most smartphones that run with Android 4.4 OS or greater.
This sophisticated wireless earphone is also loaded with a heart rate monitor, pedometer and distance calculator which are features considered to be very useful when doing some exercise. What adds more value to its health tracker feature is that it can calculate the calories burned in your body according to Geek.
This new Samsung wireless earphones comes with its storage case that has an inductive charger. While keeping your Gear IconX at rest, it charges on its own to get ready for the next use. The battery life may not be that impressive though. According to N4BB, the Gear IconX can only last about an hour when playing music from the phone with the use of Bluetooth.
However, it can last up to three hours and a half if you chose to play the songs that are stored in its integrated data storage. A downloadable app is available for the user to manage the Gear IconX. This latest device may have some downside on some of its features but at least Samsung knows that there are still rooms for improvement.
The selling price of this hi-end earphones runs around $199 which will be made available at a later date within this year. As of writing, Samsung did not announce any exact date of its release.
