"American Horror Story" Season 6 is underway, and the cast and crew have already begun filming for the highly-awaited series.
Many of the show's well-loved actors and actresses from seasons past will make their grand return to "American Horror Story" Season 6, including Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Dennis O'Hare and Lady Gaga. Another familiar face coming back to the show is Leslie Jordan, who was part of "American Horror Story: Coven."
Speaking to the Washington Blade, Jordan revealed he is scheduled to start filming on July 7.
"I'm booked all summer, then on July 7, I go back to 'American Horror Story' with Lady Gaga, isn't that fun? I did one season on 'Coven,'" Jordan said.
He also revealed the reason why he was not able to join the fourth season, titled "American Horror Story: Freak Show."
"They offered me another season but I got offered a reality show in London and I needed the money. So I turned down 'Freak Show,' biggest mistake of my life," the 61-year-old actor said. "I didn't think Mr. (Ryan) Murphy would want me again because I turned him down, but he did."
The show's creator Ryan Murphy once said that he is a "huge fan" of Jordan, and that he understood his decision in turning down titled "American Horror Story: Freak Show." He added that he will always write the actor into future projects, including "American Horror Story" Season 6.
Meanwhile, Murphy previously teased the they are developing two storylines simultaneously for "American Horror Story" Season 6, opening a possibility for the show to do something it has never done before - to explore two storylines in one season.
"The interesting thing about this season is we've been working on two ideas at once, which we've never done," Murphy told TV Line. "So I don't want to say what it maybe is.... Both things that we're writing right now - we haven't declared a winner - will have a different form."
What is certain for now is that "American Horror Story" Season 6 will include "elements of children." There are rumors that this year's setting will be in an orphanage or dormitory. Interestingly, the story will also be set in in two time periods, but "principally in the present."
