Samsung Galaxy users are experiencing some issues after updating to Android Marshmallow update.
According to new reports, owners of Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7 are experiencing problems with regard to fingerprints and passwords after updating to Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update.
The smartphone does not identify the fingerprint or accept the login password after downloading and installing the update. It means that owners are getting locked out of their own smartphones.
According to a SamMobile report, users of Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7 who are updating their devices to Android Marshmallow for the first time are experiencing this issue. Also, the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Edge variants of Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S6 are experiencing the same problem.
However, the issue is not affecting all the owners of these devices. Users can fix this issue temporarily. They should remove the fingerprint and password login before installing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow or Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update.
However, if the owners have already installed the Android Marshmallow update and are locked out right now, the problem can be fixed by going to 'findmymobile.samsung.com.' Here, owners can first lock and then, unlock their device.
They may require a Samsung account particular to the handset in focus to log into this site. Owners who do not have a Samsung account should talk to Samsung customer care representatives.
Meanwhile, according to a report from Forbes, Android N may not be incorporated into the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 right out of the box.
At present, Android N does not have an official launch date, and it may still be a while till the software version is ready to be released to the public.
