"Game of Thrones" season 6 has three episodes left this season. While everyone knows the key details associated with the third last episode in the series by now, this is the first time that HBO has revealed the titles of the last two episodes.
The titles of the last two episodes give away some of the major spoilers indicating what could happen in the remaining episodes of the season. The title of episode 9 is "The Battle of the Bastards" and that of the finale is "The Winds of Winter," according to Entertainment Weekly.
"The Battle of the Bastards" probably refers to an epic battle between the two most interesting characters on the show, Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton. A fight between the two characters, played by Kit Harrington and Iwan Rheon, respectively, was long awaited. It is something that has been teased all this way through the season and is expected to finally take place in the second to the last episode.
The "Game of Thrones" producers have previously indicated that this season would witness one of the biggest battles in the show's history so far. So the fans can probably expect a thrilling, yet surprising battle to take place between the two leading actors. Episode 9, which is 60 minutes long, airs on June 19.
Meanwhile, the "Game of Thrones" finale this season will the longest episode created so far in the history of the show. The finale is 69 minutes long and airs on June 26. "The Winds of Winter" is a nod to George R.R. Martin's sixth installment of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. The sixth installment to the saga is near completion, according to The Independent.
Any details related to the plot of the finale have not been leaked yet. However, some sites have attempted to post a vague description of the last episode, including one indicating that Brienne meets a friend turned foe."
Meanwhile, a description for episode 8 (third last) titled "No One" has been released. The trailer for the upcoming episode teases a Jaime and Brienne reunion as Arya faces a new test.
