Recently, "Game of Thrones" actor Kit Harrington collaborated with the "Maleficient" actress Elle Fanning to pay tribute to the great music legend, Prince, on his birthday. The duo not only remembered their favorite singer by putting forward a fine performance, but also demonstrated their singing skills.
Harrington - best known for his role as "Jon Snow" in the famous HBO television series "Game of Thrones" -- performed on some of the famous and best-loved songs by the music icon. Along with Harrington, Fanning too joined the list of A-list celebrities who have flaunted their singing talents in the past, according to The Mirror.
Fanning and Harrington put up their performances in honor of what would have been the legendary music icon's birthday number 59. While Kit performance was more of a dramatic reading, 18-year-old Fanning proved that she has got some serious talent hidden from the rest of the world.
The "About Ray" actress performed on Prince's famous song "Kiss." Her performance showed that the talented actress could hit the high notes quite well.
Fanning was later joined by the "Glee" fame Melissa Benoist and "Twilight" actor Rami Malek. While Benoist is well known for her music talents, Malek was quoted as saying "I'm going to do Prince in the spirit of a phone sex operator" by the publication.
Meanwhile, Harrington performed on another song by Prince called "Little Red Corvette." He was accompanied by Cindy Crawford and "X-Men" star Tye Sheridan. The trio offered a pretty dramatic reading of the track as Harrington ended the tribute with the last line of the track -- "Baby, have you got enough gas? Oh yeah."
Other celebrities including Ethan Hawke, Chris Evans, Nate Parker and Julia Louis-Dreyfus also paid tribute to the singer, who passed away on April 21, 2016 in his Paisley Park recording studio and home in Minnesota. He died from a fetanyl overdose, Huffington Post reported.
Prince's music was a hybrid of different forms of style, including rock, soul, new wave, punk, pop and R&B. In his entire career, Prince won seven Grammy Awards, one Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award.
