It was just a couple of weeks ago when the hit spinoff series of "The Vampire Diaries," "The Originals," wrapped up its third season. With the fourth installment already reported to air in mid-season next year, recent reports are telling that the showrunner of the series provided fans with clues on what they should watch out for in "The Originals" Season 4.
In his interview with TV Line, the series' executive producer, Michael Narducci, said that Hayley Marshall, played by Phoebe Tonkin, is going to seek a way to help the Mikaelson's in finding a cure for the werewolf venom. Narducci added that the finale episode of the recent season unveiled some clues on what Hayley would do in the next installment. The showrunner noted that Hayley could utilize her witchcraft roots and use it to establish communication in the world of dreams.
The same publication also cited another possible storyline for "The Originals" Season 4. It said that Hope Mikaelson, the daughter of Hayley and Klaus ( played by Joseph Morgan), may have a big role in curing the rest of the family with the use of her blood.
Meanwhile, according to Game N Guide, Nina Dobrev of "The Vampire Diaries" is joining the cast of "The Originals" Season 4. Dobrev plays the lead role as Elena Gilbert in the parent series, and the actress surprised everyone when she left the show after six seasons.
However, the idea of Dobrev joining "The Originals" Season 4 was immediately countered, as the actress was already set to return in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. Dobrev's return was said to hopefully boost the decreasing ratings of "The Vampire Diaries."
As of the moment, there is no confirmed plot yet in regards to "The Originals" Season 4. Although the fourth season was said to have a 2017 release date, rumors are loud that it may be released later this year to make the Winter 2016 roster of The CW network more stronger.
