For those who cannot wait for the Feb. 13 release date of "Fifty Shades of Grey" in the United States, there is some good news. Dakota Johnson has provided some spoilers that will make the wait during the next few days a little bit easier.
"Fifty Shades of Grey" is based on the best-selling 2011 novel of the same name, and even before the release of the film, the stars of the film have already announced that two sequels of the movie will be produced.
In the film, Johnson plays Miss Anastasia Steele. She is an innocent college student who is a homebody that has never had any romantic experiences.
"At the beginning of the film, Ana's never really had any romantic relationship with anyone. She throws herself into literature instead of boys and parties," Johnson told People of her character.
According to Johnson, while her character has never had any luck with love, that does not mean she has not been interested. The situation changes when she meets Christian Grey, the billionaire founder of Grey Enterprises Holdings, Inc. played by Jamie Dornan.
"It's not that she hasn't been interested, it's that she's never been ignited by someone before," Johnson said.
After Anastasia meets Christian, she begins to undergo several changes throughout the remainder of the film, including her sense of fashion.
The director of the film, Sam Taylor-Johnson, wanted to show the metamorphosis of Anastasia. While she initially becomes a victim to things such as power and success, she later becomes dominant in the relationship.
Taylor-Johnson seems to have a skill at exploring the dark sides of relationships. He took a similar approach in "Nowhere Boy," which focused on the adolescence of the Beatles member John Lennon.
Moviegoers seem extremely eager to see Anastasia and Christian in "Fifty Shades of Grey." In fact, it has already set a record for a film's ticket presales, according to Yahoo.
