The latest details for "Street Fighter 5" will feature all DLC characters in the new story mode expansion and Capcom no longer adding the in-game store.
Capcom announced new details regarding the new Story Mode expansion for "Street Fighter 5" which is scheduled to be release this month. The story expansion is titled "A Shadow Falls" and it focuses on a new threat that Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and rest of the characters will face as M.Bison's evil organization Shadaloo has unleashed the seven "Black Moons", granting Bison immense and unparalleled power as it covers the whole world into darkness.
Ryu, Ken and Chun-Li embark on a journey across the globe to stop Shadaloo's plans for world domination and will met other fighter such as Charlie Nash, Laura, Zangief, Necalli and many more. What makes the story mode expansion interesting is that all six DLC characters Alex, Guile, Ibuki, Juri, Urien and Balrog will make their appearance and are also playable characters.
However, gamers will can only play Juri, Urien and Balrog in the story mode expansion as Capcom stated that they are not "Final or Tournament ready" and they still need to be polished and balanced for "Street Fighter 5", Gamespot reported. In addition, gamers can now earn Fight Money during game mode and a new difficulty mode will be unlocked. The Normal Mode will be at 30,000 FM and Extra Mode will be at 50,000 FM.
Capcom stated that they plan to launch the story mode expansion along with Ibuki by the end of the month as the character was delayed on its original scheduled release on May.
In other news, it seems that the in-game curreny system will not be implemented in "Street Fighter 5" as Capcom announced that they will no longer adding the Zenny system and instead replace it with real currency.
Gamers will be able to buy DLCs in the PlayStation Store and in Steam from new characters and stages to alternate stages, premium and story mode costumes. Premium battle costumes for each character will be on sale this month along with the Story Mode costumes.
Capcom added that Daily Challenges will be retooled and optimized and it will be called "Targets". New single player modes including Extra Battle and Versus CPU are also in the works very soon, Capcom-Unity reported.
"Street Fighter 5" is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and PC platforms.
