The previous season saw the rise of The Darkness/Amara and the return of Chuck and Lucifer. The season 12 finale saw reunion of Chuck and Amara as they depart the Earth. Dean and the resurrected Mary Winchester reunite. Meanwhile, Lady Antonia Bevell opens attack on Sam, who Men of Letters are looking to punish for his past action.
"Supernatural" Season 12 is expected to revolve around the storyline that involves Lady Antonia and Mary Winchester. In the meantime, Collin teases extending cast. In a recent interview with Bustle, the show has signed on an actor to play the role of a new character that will be showing up in Season 12 premiere.
"I know one casting thing," Collins told the website. "I know one person who's been hired in Season 12, but I can't tell you. I'm sorry to be completely useless there, but I do know that their character is going to be on the show," the actor added.
According to the actor, this character was to appear in the "Supernatural" Season 11 finale. However, things were changes and that "didn't end up making it into the finale."
The website speculates that the new cast member might be Samantha Smith, who plays the role ofa recurring character, Mary. With Mary's resurrection, her character is expected to become central to Sam and Dean's storyline.
Unfortunately, the Collins knows nothing about what's to come in "Supernatural" Season 12. When asked what to expect from the forthcoming season, the actor revealed that the crew has not shared any information with him.
As for Castiel, Collins hopes that Castiel is seen with his full power once again.
"I guess one thing that I've been hoping a little bit is that we can revisit Season 4 Castiel a little bit..." the actor told the publication. "The writers keep inhibiting Cas' powers in some way or another ... Sam and Dean don't have this magic bullet they can solve all their problems. I would love it if there was a little stretch where he could possibly be the powerful ally that he was and just play it a little bit before somehow hobbling him again. It's been awhile since Cas has been just the ally at full power that he once was."
"Supernatural" Season 12 is expected to air in October 2016 on The CW. More spoilers and updates are expected soon.
