Whitney Bischoff may have been quick to move on from her failed engagement with Chris Soules, but a new report revealed that "The Bachelor" alum is still hung up on his ex-fiancé.
According to Starpulse, Soules admitted that he still misses Bischoff almost a year after the couple ended their engagement.
"I miss her. I just care about her. She's a great person. We get to stay in touch. It's a mutually amicable friendship now," Soules said.
The publication speculated that their relationship may have ended differently had Soules refused to go on "Dancing with the Stars." They held that Bischoff was more than ready to give up her career as a fertility nurse in Chicago to move with Soules to Arlington, Iowa but Soules was just not ready to give up his spot in the limelight.
While Soules and Bishoff insisted that the break up was a mutual decision, the outlet held that most of it was probably because of "The Bachelor's" incessant flirting with his "Dancing with the Stars" partner Witney Carson.
"Soules kept flirting with Witney Carson and it is possible that Bischoff got jealous," the outlet held.
According to Hollywood Take, Soules and Bischoff tried to make their relationship work but it was just heading nowhere. He explained that things are very different in the real world. The reality star, however, insisted that it was not at all the pressure to start a family that got to them. Soules shared that it was his personal decision to propose to Bischoff at the end of "The Bachelor" Season 19.
"I think the whole experience itself lends itself to like making you feel like you want to go through with that. And of course at the end there's the final rose and, you know, it's a really weird experience and it's hard to explain unless you've been through it," Soules said.
In spite of it all, Soules said that he and Bischoff would be friends for the rest of their lives. He added that no matter what, he would always care about her.
