"Game of Thrones" actress Maisie Williams is busy doing what she believes is necessary for the survival of the world. In fact, the teenage actress wants others to join her in her cause.
Williams is selling T-shirts inspired by her role in the HBO's popular television series, Arya Stark. The actress is selling T-shirts to raise funds for a charity that works for the welfare of dolphins.
The Arya Stark T-shirt features the character holding her sword and needle. This limited-edition merchandise is being sold for $24.99 and would be available until the end of June, Represent.com reports. Williams confessed being "proud and excited" to be finally able to sell the tees to raise funds for charity.
"So proud and excited to, finally, be releasing these tee's - I hope you love them as much as I do," she stated on the website. "Get yours now before they're gone!"
With just 10 days left for the offer to be available, Williams has been able to sell more than 1,500 T-shirts as of June 16, Thursday. The T-shirt is available in different sizes, ranging from XS to 3XL.
Apart from being available in different sizes, the T-shirt is out for sale in different designs as well. An individual can choose to buy any of the listed merchandise variants - unisex fitted tee, female fitted short sleeve tee, female flowy racerback tank, next level tank top or pullover sweatshirt. Each variant has the same Arya Stark printed on it.
A part of the T-shirt sales will go to a non-profit organization called the Dolphin Project. The organization is working toward the welfare of the dolphins, specifically toward the rehabilitation of captive dolphins and the end of their slaughter and exploitation.
Williams has partnered with the same organization before as well and actively participates toward their fund-raising and awareness campaigns. That is, when the "Game of Thrones" star is no on the sets of the show, she could be probably working on "an anti-captivity protest or roller-skating along the Venice boardwalk."
Even though the actress is just 19, her strong character on the show and her interest toward campaigning for animal rights makes her as bold as any other senior actress.
