NBA trade rumors heat up with the possibility of Derrick Rose to be dealt with other teams before the start of 2016-2017 NBA season. NBA rumors are highly speculating that Chicago Bulls will choose to retain Jimmy Butler and let go of Rose in the effort of reducing a ballooning salary cap and explore other options in the league.
With Bulls winning 50 games last regular season and some games in the playoffs, it cannot be denied that they had a good season run. However, such thing is irrelevant especially if you are a team wanting to retrieve your glory days. The goal of winning a championship has eluded Bulls for a period of time now even with the presence of towering star players and former MVP.
Things can be frustrating for the Bulls, especially having such great goal and yet gaining mediocre results. It cannot be helped for a once dominant team to reflect and sort things out like what they had done before when they replaced their former head coach Tom Thibodeau. Such drastic move was a bit unprecedented, and yet it may happen again, considering the NBA trade rumors surrounding the future of former MVP, Derrick Rose, in the league.
Rose, who is entering the final year of his contract, is considered as the best option for trade if his team would like to explore other promising and younger players. The idea of Rose being traded is not something that is new, for it was already rumored earlier this year and even the year before that the Bulls' front office and some fans are not happy with the "on-again and off-again intensity" of the veteran point-guard, according to Basketball Insider.
The rumors of the Bulls trading Rose had become more substantial when some NBA insiders reported that the Bulls are open for business. Such news of possible trade was in a way confirmed by various NBA teams and scouts suggesting that the Bulls is indeed open to moving Rose, and such is a first choice rather than shopping Butler, according to Fansided.
NBA rumors speculating of the possible trade scenario involving Rose is very possible, if you will be considering the so-called inconsistency of Rose and the increasing dominance of Jimmy Butler. And both Rose and his team might benefit from a change of scenery, especially when you consider the reported strained relationship between Rose and Butler. Guess we would just have to wait for further updates on who will be retained or who will be traded in the Bulls roster.
