Artist Rob Schamberger at 2K's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) booth revealed three new additions to the "WWE 2K17" roster: "Boss" Sasha Banks, Ultimate Warrior and John Cena.
The artist was tapped in by 2K and World Wrestling Entertainment to man 2K's E3 booth where he painted the "WWE 2K17" roster live. This way of revealing the roster is new, Forbes reported, as fans would have to wait until the artist paints discernible features of the superstars.
Schamberger is an artist that is famed for his WWE-inspired works of art. WWE.com has even put up some of his works on their official website and in the YouTube series Canvas 2 Canvas.
The finished painting shows Banks with John Cena and Ultimate Warrior. With the confirmation of Banks, who is a member of NXT's Four Horsewomen, fans are now expecting the announcement of the other three members namely, Charlotte, Bayley and Becky Lynch.
As of the moment, only four of "WWE 2K17's" complete roster have been revealed, with Goldberg being the first. Goldberg was first confirmed when he was announced as a pre-order bonus.
Two playable versions of the World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and WWE legend will be coming to those who pre-order, aside from two arenas that are named Monday Nitro and Halloween Havoc, both of which are inspired by WCW.
"After 12 years away from the business, I'm incredibly honored to work with WWE and 2K while following in the footsteps of such greats as Ultimate Warrior, Sting and Arnold Schwarzenegger," said Goldberg (via Wrestling Inc.).
Additionally, Chris Snyder, 2K vice president of Marketing said that Goldberg's arrival as two playable characters in "WWE 2K17" in two WCW arenas delivers a "unique opportunity to experience one of WWE's true living legends."
"Fans can now relive many of their favorite Goldberg moments, as well as create brand new ones, as they decide 'Who's Next?' in the virtual ring," said Snyder.
Other WWE superstars that are expected to be officially confirmed are Dean Ambrose, Big Show, Seth Rollins, Blayze, A.J. Styles and the recently deceased Chyna.
"WWE 2K17" is set to be released in October for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
