Hints of an impending Google Nexus 2016 release date continue to come out by the day and the latest are the ongoing epic deals that shaved off significant dollars from the original LG Nexus 5X sticker price. Amazon now sells the device for only $299 but B&H has the better deal, making the 5X ready to ship out for only $229.

It might be that Amazon's promo, per the report by BGR, is not compelling enough but the price offer is for the 32GB Nexus 5X, which the seller said is originally listed at $430 or savings of $130 for buyers. Still, the 5X from B&H seems more tempting for its dirt-cheap asking price of $229.

It should be noted though that the package will unbox the 16GB model but most everything will be similar to the higher storage edition. The 5.2-inch device with 1080p screen resolution will run in full steam as fired up by a quad-core Snapdragon 808 chip with 2GB of RAM. The 5X camera set up is more than decent - 12.3MP on rear and 5-megapixel on front, which by comparison is at par with most flagship phones out there. And Google is marketing the Nexus 5X as a mid-range device but the premium specifications easily make the phone a definite steal.

More so with its current discounted price as Android Police noted that when the LG-built Nexus 5X first hit the market the tag was set at $379. So getting it now will translate to savings of $150 and shoppers will get to toy with a kit that will soon chew in the next Android version, codenamed for now as Android N.

Reports said that in time for the new Android release, the Nexus 2016 series of devices will surely tag along being the showcase tool for Google's next-generation mobile OS. One Google executive has strongly hinted that the OS will likely take the name Android Nutella and the version number is 7.0.

Everything about the new software is believed to be finalized by end of July, thus positioning it for an August release. And that signifies too that the next launch will happen within the month.

At least three Nexus 2016 models are expected for commercial debut soon. One Huawei is rumored to supply, bearing the same Nexus 6P look but with upgraded inside components. If the device when unboxed will prove as the scaled up replica of the 6P, it likely will end up as the Nexus 7 2016 tablet.

As for the Stock Android smartphones, rumors persist that Google has tapped HTC for the project and on release date there will be two Nexus 2016 flagship phones with one variant to roll out as the repurposed HTC 10.
