Reports have been rampant that with the revelation of Black Goku in episode 47, the evil fighter will be facing his good counterpart in the future events that will unfold. To watch an online streaming of "Dragon Ball Super" episode 48 with English subtitles, viewers can go here.
The previous episode already featured the appearance of Black Goku who followed Future Trunks and Bulma when both were trying to seek help in the past using a time machine. The first scene started off with Future Trunks running away from someone in a what seemed to be desolated planet Earth.
Future Trunks then meets with Bulma who was collecting fuel for the time machine they will be using to time travel. It was revealed that it took them 1 year to collect the one-way trip fuel in order to use the said machine. The episode went on when Black Goku was able to follow Trunks where he killed Bulma and destroyed the building where the fuel-collecting machine they used was located.
Future Trunks was able to escape the attack but was still followed by Black Goku when he was about to time travel using the time machine. Mai fought at his side but also got killed by the enemy during combat. Future Trunks was still able to go back in time using the time machine.
There were rumors that as Future Trunks was able to seek help from Goku and friends, Goku, Beerus and Vegeta will be deciding to head back on Earth to face their new enemy, Game N Guide reported. The report also suggested that they will be using a time machine in order to time travel in the future and help Future Trunks defeat Black Goku.
Other reports suggest that as Vegeta and Goku decided to help Future Trunks, the two will be joining forces in the form of fusion to destroy the undefeated Black Goku. There is also a speculation that Future Trunks will be transforming into a Super Saiayan Blue to match the power of Black Goku, Sportsrageous reported. "Dragon Ball Super" episode 48 is titled "Hope Again!! Trunks Wakes Up in the Present."
