Just after the announcement of Hideo Kojima's upcoming game dubbed "Death Stranding," developer Kojima Productions has gone ahead to share more details about the franchise, putting forth that it will not be arriving soon although its development is underway.
Through a series of tweets published on June 16, the developer disclosed the storyline of "Death Stranding" together with details regarding its expected late arrival. The game teaser, itself, had run over the course of two months and was produced in collaboration with Hollywood veteran Kyle Cooper.

Cooper is known for having worked on movies like "Braveheart," "Iron Man," and "Fast & Furious." Apparently, the long-teased game will tell a story and have themes around humankind's evolution. According to Gamespot, the developer announced that "Death Stranding" is aiming at going beyond the traditional "RPG" and "Action" markets into a new genre.
The game will launch exclusively on PS4 although it will later launch on PC. It will feature "The Walking Dead" actor Norman Reedus, who previously worked with Kojima on the abandoned Konami's "Silent Hills" project. Kojima has already asserted that he intended the next project to be "edgy," and if the E3 trailer is anything to go by, analysts assert that he will deliver his ambition.
The stunning "Death Stranding" video teaser, which broke the internet on Monday, opens with Reedus attached to a baby through an umbilical cord. Both characters are naked and standing on a beach, which is blanketed with dead whales and fish. The developer threw some clues for the public to digest.
In an interview with Digital Spy at the E3, Kojima said that most of the objects seen in the video signify evolution of man. The concept is to tie together the gameplay, the story, the world, and the characters with the player.
Kojima did not get into the specifics of "Death Stranding" as he believed that it would take all the good surprises away. He, however, disclosed that the game has not entered full production and that recruitment of staff for key roles is currently ongoing.
