"The Last Ship" Season 3 was scheduled to premiere on June 12, Sunday. Due to mass shooting at Orlando nightclub, the network decided to postpone the special two-episode premiere that features a shooting scene at the nightclub. Thus, the network has released a new air date. Season 3 episode 1 & 2 will now air on June 19 on TNT. Here is what to expect (spoilers) and where to watch online via live stream mode. "Our hearts are with the victims and their families," TNT said in a statement announcing the delay in the premiere of the show as noted by Entertainment Weekly. The postponement subsequently pushes the Season 3 premiere of "Murder in the First" to June 26.
"The Last Ship" Season 3 episode 1 is titled "The Scott Effect" and it is expected to introduce the new challenge for Tom Chandler and other crew members of the Nathan James after things begin to get normal in USA. According to the official synopsis, Tom Chandler heads to Asia where he investigates a possible mutation of the Red Flu.
As for Mike Slattery and other crew members, they head to Southeast Asia to distribute the cure. However, the things take an unexpected turn when a new enemy emerges in the region.
In addition, "The Last Ship" Season 3 premiere is expected to reveal the fate of Dr. Rachel Scott, who was shot at the end of Season 2 finale. As per the press release (via Spoiler TV) for the upcoming segment of the show, Captain Chandler's next mission is ordered by President Michener after finding out about the corrupt Chinese leader, President Peng, has been hoarding the Scott cure instead of providing it to the people.
"The Last Ship" Season 3 episode 2 is titled "Rising Sun" and it will see Chandler's attempt to reunite with his team working in Southeast Asia. As he returns, he digs deeper to find out more about the new foe.
