Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler left "Dance Moms" before the shooting of Season 7 started. Now, their mother, Melissa Gisoni, has revealed the reason behind her daughters exiting the reality show. Gisoni teased that it was her daughters' decision to leave the show that they have featured for the past years.
Speaking with Cosmopolitan, Zieglers' mother said, "My kids told me they didn't want to do it anymore. When my kids aren't happy anymore, I don't care about anything else."
Gisoni added that Maddie and Mackenzie's contract with the show hindered them from exploring more options outside "Dance Moms." In fact, Maddie had to turn down several jobs just to be on "Dance Moms." This could be the reason why they finally saw that it was time for them to exit the show.
After leaving the reality show, Maddie was cast in two movies - "The Book of Henry" and an upcoming animated film. While the two dancers were very excited with the decision, their mother admitted that they both think about their friends from "Dance Moms." The Zieglers miss the girls from the reality show but they do not miss the drama.
On the other hand, rumors are rife about the exit of Nia Sioux in the upcoming seventh installment. There are reports that Nia will perform special dance solos in the musical, including "These Boots Are Made for Walkin," "Moon River," and "Wipe Out."
Although the young dancer is yet to confirm the speculations about her exit, her statement after the casting news surfaced further emphasized the rumors.
In her statement via Theater Mania, Nia said that this is truly a dream come true. The dancer is eager to move to New York with her mom, Holly Frazier, this June before hitting the stage next month. According to Nia, this will be the best summer ever.
In case it turns out true that Nia moves to New York, she will have a difficult time filming her scenes in "Dance Moms" Season 7 that is scheduled to debut in 2017.
