In the savage battle of the bastards, one had fallen and faced a horrific death. Sansa had her revenge to the sadistic Ramsay Bolton who was eaten by the dogs in the cell. The villain star Iwan Rheon revealed that he fell on the "Game of Thrones" writers' joke that he is going to have the iron throne.
Rheon told Entertainment Weekly in an interview that before his scripts were laid out, showrunners, Dan Weiss and David Benioff joked that his character will have a good fate in the long run of the show. In the interview, the actor was asked when did he received the call about his character's demise.
He answered that he received half of the scripts which are for the 5 episodes before he got the call. After that, the showrunners joked on him and said, "Isn't it great Ramsay ends up on the Iron Throne?" Rheon answered it with a question and said ""He's dead isn't he?"
About his character's fate, Rheon thought that it is arguably unfair for Ramsay to lose. In the "Battle of the Bastards," it was clear that he won in terms of numbers and strategy but the actor still agreed that what happened to Ramsay is just right for him. His vicious character had already reached his peak and it is the perfect time for the character to rest for good.
In the previous reports, Rheon said that he would like to have a dramatic ending for Ramsay's death and he wanted the character to fight with dragons as reported by Express. After seeing episode 9 of season 6, it ended differently but still a part of his wish was granted to have a dramatic ending.
There is a big speculation right now that is swirling around the online news about Ramsay's last words to Sansa. Just before he was eaten by his dogs, he said, "I am part of you now." It has been reportedly said that Sansa could be carrying Ramsay's child. This could be a very big spoiler if proven true by someone from the show.
However, there were also news saying that the theory was debunked after Sansa uttered her final words for Ramsay where she said, "Your words will disappear. Your house will disappear. Your name will disappear. All memory of you will disappear."
Going back to Rheon's departure from the show, he is very thankful to be a part of the most watched epic drama series in HBO. He was the actor of the recurring character Ramsay Bolton from season 1 to season 4 of "Game of Thrones."
Below is a preview of season 6 episode 10.
