Gabe Newell may be preparing to take all of your money as the Steam Summer Sale is just hours away from starting across the globe if the June 23 start date is indeed true.
Most of the earlier reports about the Steam Summer Sale have pointed to June 23 being the definitive start date. More people have reason to believe this is true simply because the date of the Steam Summer Sales from the previous years have been leaked before they started and they were mostly correct.
There are some titles that are already on sale on Valve's online game store. However, they are random and most of them are just obscured video games.
Steam Summer Sale is the time when almost all games will have ridiculously low prices with some reaching up to a 95 percent discount. The Steam Summer Sale 2016 date was leaked thanks to a developer who ignored Valve's request for confidentiality and PayPal confirming the dates too, GameZone has learned.
Fortunately, the sale will last for more than a week. However, Steam users will have to check the client for the rotating deals as Valve puts out different discounts for different games every hour or so.
Users who want to make the most of their money could buy Steam credit from Best Buy for the upcoming Steam Summer Sale as they have a promotion that gives the customer 20 percent off on a second card, GameSpot reported. Buying two $200 Steam Wallet cards would only cost $180 which means the customer can still buy another $20 credit.
Pirates are already waiting to buy some games that have not been cracked yet as they would get them cheaper during the sale. Some of these games include the Rise of the Tomb Raider, Just Cause 3, Far Cry: Primal, Doom 2016 and Tom Clancy's The Division.
Best Buy's promo will last up to June 25 which means Steam users still have the chance to scout for which games they plan to buy according to their budget. The small discount can still be big savings for those looking to buy several hundred dollars of Steam wallet.
The Steam Summer Sale is expected to start on June 23 at 9:45 AM Pacific time and will end on July 4 at 10:00 AM. Players should prepare their savings and credit cards for one of the biggest video game sales in 2016.
