The WWE Draft is scheduled on July 19 when SmackDown goes live as it indicates the start of the brand extension. According to the latest rumors, the WWE is reportedly bringing back three pay-per-views later this year as the company will have two events per months after SummerSlam.
Suspended color commentator Jerry Lawler first revealed those plans at the 38th Annual Superman Celebration in Metropolis, Illinois on June 12. A fan in attendance noted that Lawler told them that the WWE will have two PPVs every month, ProWrestling.net reported.
One will be for Monday Night Raw and one is for SmackDown with the exception of the top four WWE pay-per-views: Royal Rumble, WresltleMania, SummerSlam and Survivor Series. Many fans are very skeptical about having two events a month but it seems like the WWE will be going through with it.
According to Daily Wrestling News, the WWE will be bringing back Backlash, Clash of Champions and No Mercy later this year. In a recently leaked PPV schedule, the rumored twice-a-month events are probably true.
SummerSlam will be held on August 21 in Brooklyn, New York and both brands will be featured on the event. The next pay-per-view scheduled is Backlash and it will be a SmackDown exclusive event happening on September 11 in Richmond, Virginia.
Clash of Champions, on the other hand, will be a Raw-exclusive event that is scheduled on September 25 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Other Raw pay-per-views include Hell in a Cell on October 30 in Boston, Massachusetts and Roadblock on December 18 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
As for SmackDown, No Mercy is scheduled on October 9 in Sacramento, California and WWE TLC will be in Dallas, Texas on December 4. WWE Survivor Series will take place in Toronto, Canada on November 20 and it will feature superstars from Raw and SmackDown.
However, this schedule has not been confirmed by the WWE and plans could change because of the leak. It should be noted that the WWE recently filed a trademark for the Clash of Champions name as a TV special and for merchandise.
