Here is the new Android 6.0.1 M release update for Samsung Galaxy A5, Samsung Galaxy A7, Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

If reports are anything to go by, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update is currently rolling out to the unlocked variants of Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 in the United States.

In April, the tech company Samsung began rolling out the Android M update in Germany to the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 variant. The update began rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 in the United Kingdom in May.

The size of the downloadable file is 1GB. It is good to have 50% of battery charge and a stable Wi-Fi connection before downloading and updating the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2.

Owners will see the software version XXU2CPD9 upon installing the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update.
Some of the features of Android Marshmallow include app standby mode, changes to app permissions system, Google Now On Tap and Doze Mode.

According to various reports, Android 6.0.1 M update is also being rolled out to Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 in Russia. Furthermore, Turkey and Serbia are getting the over-the-air update for Samsung Galaxy A5 2016.

It is said that the update will be pushed to Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 across the world in the coming days.

The tech company has also started pushing out the Marshmallow update to Samsung Galaxy J7 2015 and Samsung Galaxy Tab A in Russia and Australia. It is believed that both Samsung devices will get the firmware update across the world pretty soon.

Meanwhile, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update is also rolling out to AT&T's Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in the United States.

Other mobile carriers have already updated the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 under their networks. The unlocked and locked Galaxy variants of the handsets have also been updated to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

The Android 6.0.1 over-the-air update weighs 1.6GB. Device users can go to device's Settings -> About device -> Software update and do it manually or they can wait for the notification to appear.
