"Game of Thrones" season 6 has the younger Stark daughter going through quite a lot. Hence, Williams is savoring her time off. She recently hinted that the hit series on HBO may be coming to an end.
"At the end of the read through of this season, I sat there thinking: 'God, they are setting up for the end,'" the 19-year-old star told The Red Bulletin in March. "It's still no way predictable, but the feeling that this is slowly coming to an end is so so exciting, and terrifying at the same time."
"GOT" fans need not panic because the series will still have its seventh and eighth season. HBO is likely poised to run the show for eight seasons only. Season 8 has not been announced yet, but showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss hinted it is coming to an end.
Furthermore, Emilia Clarke who plays mother of dragons, Daenerys Targaryen previously hinted there could be a twist. She and other leads Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, Lena Heady and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will reportedly earn more than $500,000 per episode in season 7.
The raises for season 7 come as HBO's option for the cast and as part of their last deal signed in October 2014. The deal has already been exercised and packaged with season 8. The five leads of the Emmy-winning hit become the highest-paid stars on cable TV.
The contracts of the remaining stars like Williams and her onscreen elder sister Sophie Turner have not been completed yet. Their last deal in October 2014 also gave them hefty raises. While they are locked with the deal with HBO, it does not mean their characters will stay alive till the end, according to Hollywood Reporter.
