"Game of Thrones" star Maisie Williams who plays Arya Stark recently proved that she is a no-nonsense human being in real life, just like her character in the fictitious Westeros world. She changed a recent news headline about herself, which read: "Unveiled: Game of Thrones' Maisie Williams goes braless in sheer lace dress and quirky headpiece at charity masquerade ball" to "Alternative: Game of Thrones actor, Maisie Williams, helps raise thousands at a Summer Masquerade Ball for @NSPCC."
Williams screen grabbed the article which focused on what she was wearing in the charity ball and went with the click-chasing headline. She tweeted it together with her version of the headline, which was shared by more than a thousand times in less than 20 minutes. Many praised her version to be much better as others joined her in voicing their disgust at the article.
A reader was convinced they have to get the article down as it sexualizes on the appearance of Williams who was not dressed in a sexual way. Another said the online piece was superficial for focusing on what she was wearing, instead of the reason why she was at the event. Furthermore, fellow "Game of Thrones" actress Lena Headey aka Cersei Lannister gave her support.
In the world. I have watched this magic human grow and it's been a joy and this is only the beginning of her roar in the world

As an outspoken feminist who regularly calls out sexist double standards and the general bias against women and girls, Williams is expected not to let it pass if she becomes the subject of sexism, according to Stuff. What the 19-year-old actress actually attended over the weekend was a charity masquerade ball to help raise funds for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children in the United Kingdom.
The young Stark actress opened up during an interview with Entertainment Weekly in April about feminism. She shared she did not know what a feminist was when asked if her character in the HBO hit series is a feminist.
Williams got to understand the word after someone explained it to her. Then she is worried if she speaks up about anything feminist lest she will be attacked on social media by women.
The young actress admitted she is aware that there is something out there that is not right. She does believe in equality and knows she can reach people.
